SIGNAGE + ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHIC DESIGN
Located in downtown Philadelphia, St. Joseph's Prep is a premier college preparatory school for boys with a rich 160 year history and underwent a recent renovation. The project’s primary goal was to create a cohesive branding strategy that reflects the school’s Jesuit values while recognizing the dedication, accomplishments, and contributions of alumni, students, and donors. Upon entering the main lobby, an impactful and dimensional design was installed above the theatre entrance. The custom laminated sign measures 10’ wide x 15.5' tall, proudly displaying the school seal, engraved and painted in an accent hue, with dimensional lettering. Additional donor signage in the form of brushed nickel dimensional lettering and frosted acrylic plaques were added in the proper hierarchy to denote contributors. To complete the space, a large wall mural with the school's tagline "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam" was added to the theatre entrance wall and is visible through the glass doors.

The AMDG theme became the cornerstone of the project. Around the corner from the main lobby, is the new Hall of Excellence in which the there is featured heavily. The school also has its own representation of the acronym: “A” symbolizes athletics, “M” missions, “D” distinction, and “G” generational impact. Each are featured in full coverage murals coupled with acrylic recognition panels along alcoves in the hall. Additional displays were designed and installed to recognize new inductees annually and a memoriam wall for fallen graduates.

Finally, custom ADA room signs were added to complete the newly renovated site. This project was completed in partnership with JMT Architecture and Halyard, Inc.
